Wilson Preparatory Academy is accredited by AdvancED.
AdvancED is the world’s largest education community and is the parent organization for SACS, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, which accredits colleges, elementary, middle and high schools. Over 15 million students in 65 countries are part of an AdvancED accredited institution.
Accreditation is a voluntary method of quality assurance developed more than 100 years ago by American universities and secondary schools. Accreditation is designed primarily to distinguish schools adhering to a set of educational standards. The accreditation process is also known in terms of its ability to effectively drive student performance and continuous improvement in education.
While it does involve a rigorous set of protocols and research-based processes for evaluating an institution’s organizational effectiveness, accreditation also examines other aspects of an organization. The programs, cultural context, and community of stakeholders are all considered to determine how well the parts work together to meet the needs of students.
Accreditation simultaneously exemplifies the quality of education received at the institution in addition to providing a remarkably enriching experience for the institution as it recognizes the tremendous competitive and performance gains afforded to it.
